AFTER bursting onto the scene with her chart-topping song Rockabye, Anne-Marie quickly built up an army of fans.
The singer has since notched up plenty of more hit tunes, and even enjoyed a stint on The Voice. Here’s her story.

Anne-Marie Nicholson is a British singer-songwriter and TV star who goes by just her first name.
She was born in Essex on April 7, 1991.
When Anne-Marie was just five-years-old she started stage school.
She then had her first taste of fame at the age of six when she appeared in the West End production of Les Miserables and later landed a larger role in Whistle Down The Wind aged 12.
Anne-Marie is also known for being a professional karate champion, and trained in the art of Shotokan.
In 2007, she won Gold in the United Kingdom Traditional Karate Federation National Championships.
However, she has since confessed her training took a back seat once her music career picked up.
Becoming a pop star
Anne-Marie released her debut single, Karate in 2015, from her debut EP of the same name.
However, it wasn’t until the following year that she had huge chart success.
In 2016, Anne-Marie collaborated with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul on Rockabye.

The single spent a total of nine weeks at No. 1 and even bagged the coveted Christmas top spot.
Her debut studio album, Speak Your Mind (2018), peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart.
Anne-Marie’s next two studio albums, Therapy (2021) and Unhealthy (2023), both peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart.

The Voice journey
Anne-Marie became a judge on The Voice UK in 2021, replacing US singer Meghan Trainor.
When it was announced she had joined the team, she said at the time: “I am SO excited to join Sir Tom, will.i.am and Olly as the new coach on The Voice UK.
“I can’t wait to work with incredible undiscovered talent! Wahoooooo!”
Her stint on the show ran for three series, with 2023 being her last.

Married with kids
In 2024, The Sun exclusively revealed that Anne-Marie had secretly married her boyfriend Slowthai in July 2022 in Las Vegas.
The pair had a quickie wedding in the middle of her Dysfunctional tour.
A source said: “Anne-Marie and Slowthai got married in secret two years ago.
“She had an eight-week break from her tour and they went to Las Vegas and got married.”

The couple welcomed their first child, Seven, in February 2024.
Anne-Marie did not reveal her pregnancy to her fans.
A source said at the time: “Anne-Marie and Slowthai have had a baby daughter they’ve named Seven.
“It is Anne-Marie’s lucky number and she even has 0707 tattooed on her because she sees them as her angel numbers.
“She was born last month in and both of them are absolutely delighted.”
