Who are Lenny Rush’s parents?

Lenny Rush, who has the rare condition spondylo-epiphyseal dysplasia congenita, is the son of Steve and Lisa Rush.

He was born on March 18, 2009, in Essex, and turned 14 in 2003.

Lenny frequently pays tribute to his supportive parents on his Instagram account, thanking them for helping him with his career.

The actor was born with the same type of dwarfism as Harry Potter star Warwick Davis, which can cause skeletal abnormalities and sight and hearing problems.

Lenny’s parents were pictured celebrating with their son on the night of the BAFTA Television Awards, where he took home one of the prestigious trophies.

Does Lenny Rush have any siblings?

Lenny Rush has a brother called Bobby.

Bobby regularly appears on Lenny’s Instagram page in sweet pictures with his sibling.

In January 2023, Lenny posted a picture of the him posing with his brother with a lovely caption.

He wrote: “Thank you for everything you do for me, including making me smile, laugh and reach the biscuit jar on the top shelf after mum has told me to have no more.”

The Rush family also appear to have a cute dog called Cookie, who Lenny also often refers to on social media.

What TV shows has Lenny Rush been in?

Lenny Rush is best known for his work on the Daisy May Cooper comedy drama series Am I Being Unreasonable?.

The six-part British comedy-thriller first aired in 2022 and has since been confirmed for a second series.

Rush won the Breakthrough Award and the Performance (Male) Award at the 2023 Royal Television Society Programme Awards for his role as Ollie, the son of Cooper’s character, in the show.

He also took home the the BAFTA for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme at the TV awards in May 2023.

Though Rush may be best known for Am I Being Unreasonable?, he started his TV career on the CBeebies docu-soap Our Family.

It was this experience that sparked his love for acting in front of a camera, as he revealed: “I’ve sort of always been interested in acting, but Mum signed us in for Our Family and it’s got my whole family in it. I loved being in front of the camera so I went to an acting school and signed up with an agency called Quirky Kids.”

The agency is run by Birds of a Feather actress Pauline Quirke in Wickford, Essex.

Following his appearance on Our Family, Rush bagged roles on Apple Tree House and The Dumping Ground, both on CBeebies, before going on to feature as a series regular on BBC’s Dodger alongside former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston.

As well as an impressive TV career, Rush has acted on stage.

The teen star played Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic in London in 2017 and 2018, a role he later revived on-screen in the televised Steven Knight version of the Charles Dickens classic in 2019.
