Veronica Peters isn’t holding back.
In the August 12 episode of Welcome to Plathville, the Florida real estate agent caused quite the stir thanks to her behavior at Lydia Plath and Zac Wyse’s proposal. But when some people on social media called her out for being rude and inconsiderate, Veronica fired back. She said her actions didn’t matter because Lydia and Zac’s relationship wouldn’t last.
Veronica’s stirs the pot on ‘Welcome to Plathville’
Zac and Lydia’s whirlwind romance has shaken up the Plath family in a major way this season. While Lydia is head-over-heels for her boyfriend of four months, her brothers Ethan Plath and Micah Plath aren’t so sure about the man she hopes to marry.
So, when Zac invited the entire family to watch as he asked Lydia to be his wife, the Plath boys decided to cause some trouble. The pair hazed Zac, with Ethan even starting multiple fires in an attempt to disrupt the big moment. Meanwhile, Micah’s girlfriend Veronica laughed and egged them on. Then, moments before Zac popped the question, Veronica did a quick outfit change.
“I was joking around, like, ‘What do I wear?’ And Zac was like, ‘Bring church clothes,’” she explained after she removed her outer layers to reveal a sparkly minidress more appropriate for a nightclub than a lakeside proposal.
“I was like, ‘That’s what I’m not gonna do.’ I don’t listen to anybody, nevermind a man I’ve never met. I am my own mind,” she added.
Veronica predicts Zac and Lydia will get divorced
After the episode aired, people flooded Veronica’s Instagram with comments criticizing her attitude. Several said they were disappointed that she joined with the Plaths in ganging up on Zac, while others slammed her “attention seeking” outfit choice.
One person commented that they were “surprised” Veronica supported Ethan and Micah’s “bullying.” Veronica – who broke up with Micah earlier this year – was unapologetic.
“You have to test people’s true colors my family paid somebody to test both of my brother-in-law’s and they turned out just fine,” she wrote.
In any case, Veronica seemed to think that attacking Zac was no big deal since he and Lydia will “be divorced soon anyways.” (The couple married in February 2025.)
In another comment, she also hinted that people weren’t getting the full picture of Lydia and Zac’s proposal.
“You know it’s a highly edited version of what happened,” she wrote. But she reiterated that unless Zac and Lydia could put some space between them and her family, they would struggle.
“I don’t see their marriage lasting if he’s near that family,” she wrote.
