Watch moment Nadine Coyle forgets lyrics to huge Girls Aloud hit on stage and makes up the words

AS lead vocalist, Nadine Coyle arguably has the hardest job in the band – having to remember every lyric of the Girls Aloud songbook and sing them beautifully.

Now it seems the pressure may have gotten too much, as Nadine forgot the words to one of their smash hits while on stage in Dublin this week.

The Northern Ireland-born star and her bandmates kicked off the much-hyped reunion tour, which is thought to be netting them around a £1million each, as thousands turned out in the Irish capital.

But Nadine appeared to suffer a mind blank on stage, as she bluffed her way through their hit cover of The Pointer’s Sisters classic- Jump.

Performing alongside Nicola Roberts, Cheryl and Kimberley Walsh, Nadine seemed to be making up her own lyrics before singing to the audience: “I’m singing the wrong words.”

Ever the seasoned professional, Nadine was able to laugh and carry on, while Cheryl, who also coughed onstage, gave her a playful nudge.

Indeed Nadine was caught out in another impromptu moment this week when Cheryl, who is under the weather, asked her to cover her lyrics at the last minute.

During their hit song The Promise, where they performed in glittering gold floorlength gowns, Cheryl reached out to Nadine for support, cupping her elbow.

A quick flash of panic passed across Nadine’s face, before she effortlessly came to the rescue, singing Cheryl’s line: “If you want to forgive me start again, if you want to be with me in my arms.”

But despite their professionalism the mishap wasn’t lost on the eagle eyed fans:

One said: “The look of panic when she asks, “what is it.”

Another said: “It’s the flinch back just as she’s about to sing. Sheer panic.”

Meanwhile another said “Nadine is so iconic.”

This comes after Cheryl was thought to have made a public dig at Nadine during another of their Dublin gigs.

The former X Factor judge made a joke about the big TV moment when teenage Nadine auditioned for the Irish version of Popstars, where she’d lied about her age in front of the judges, including Louis Walsh, to win a place in the band.

Although she was sent home, she was later invited to audition for the UK version- Popstars the Rivals.

Speaking on stage, Cheryl said: “We had to come to Ireland anyway, you know why? To make sure Nadine remembered her passport.”
