The TalkTV legend also admitted she was “disappointed” and “shocked” after it emerged Ben had allegedly cheated on her with several women.

“Well I haven’t been on instagram for three weeks and that’s because my relationship with Ben is over after sixteen years and I honestly didn’t know what to say to you on instagram.

“But now it’s clear that it’s over and I really do feel that once the trust in a relationship is gone then you can’t really get it back and that’s what I would tell anyone else to do.”

She choked up as she continued: “And so I just wanted to say that obviously I feel incredibly sad and I am pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things but also full of resolve. I am not going to let this defeat me.”

Putting a positive spin on things, Vanessa said: “I am so glad to be living longer than my mum did, she died at 57 and for the Lord’s prayers, I am going to be 61 next month.

“I am very very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate and find fun and laughter anywhere I can.

“I know it is not going to be easy but I am absolutely determined to do it.”

She ended the message by thanking fans for their support and said she was “very very grateful” for all the messages she had received.

Vanessa shot the video in her home, sitting on a colourful pink chaise lounge and sporting an equally eye-catching dress.

She captioned the video: “I’ve missed you #brokenheart”

Vanessa discovered evidence that she believed proved her fiancé Ben had cheated on her with several women.

She made the devastating discovery and ended things with 50-year-old Phats & Small singer over his suspected infidelity.

The Sun understands that the 16-year relationship came to an end as a horrified Vanessa discovered his “double life” in a string of emails and social media messages.

She is believed to have uncovered several infidelities, but the broadcasting legend fears there could be many more.

Vanessa was shocked as The Sun on Sunday approached her for a comment last night.

She confirmed she has left Ben over his behaviour and admitted she is devastated, but declared: “Onwards and upwards.”

He has now moved out of their £3.5million home in St John’s Wood, North London.

Vanessa told The Sun on Sunday: “I had thought it might take a bit longer before this came out, because it’s a lot to deal with — a shock like this takes some adjusting to — but I am extremely sad and disappointed that my 16-year relationship with Ben is over.

“As an agony aunt I have said many times that once the trust in a relationship is gone, it can never be repaired or regained.

“So I have to take my own advice on this occasion.

“Who knew I’d be single at 60? However, ladies, it’s onwards and upwards and I firmly believe that the best is yet to come.”

She added: “I hear that Kylie Minogue is single again, so I’m in good company — if she wants to hit the town, hook me up.”
