The shooting was reported outside Miami soul food restaurant The Licking at around 8pm local time as a crowd was gathered in the area.
Law enforcement sources told local outlets, including 7News, that 10 people were shot.
Miami Gardens Police said that multiple people were injured and four people were flown to the hospital.
“We had a total of 10 [victims]. Four brought themselves to the hospital, and we’ve treated six transported,” a first responder said in radio transmissions, according to 7News.
The conditions of the victims were not revealed by cops but no fatalities had been reported as of early Friday morning.
Several victims ran from the restaurant after the shooting and were found nearby, the Miami Herald reported.

Twitter users feared for the safety of French Montana and New Orleans rapper Rob49 as witnesses said that the two were both taking part in the music video shoot.
Whether either rapper was injured in the chaos has yet to be confirmed. Reps for Rob49 did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Witnesses said that they heard 10-15 gunshots.
Ced Mogul told 7News that he was watching the French Montana video shoot when chaos unfolded.
He claimed that the shooting came after someone in the crowd was robbed of his watch, keys, and wallet.
“Then the gunshots went off,” Mogul said.
“At least 13, 14, 15 gunshots. It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle.”
Mogul said he ran off but saw multiple victims asking for help.
“I took off running, and I was looking back, but I was like, ‘You know what? Let me just duck first, and then people started asking me, you know, ‘Can you help me?’” he told WSVN.
“When I realized people were asking for help, there was nothing you could do about it when you got shot.”

Police said the shooting was an isolated incident and believe there is no danger to the public at this time.
The U.S. Sun contacted Miami Gardens police, who declined to release further information at this point in the investigation.
