Julianne Moore was joined by her son Caleb Freundlich and his girlfriend Kibriyaa for the jaunt around London.
The trip even came on Kibriyaa’s birthday, with the Still Alice actress writing in her caption: Happy birthday beauty – we love you.”
It accompanied the happy snap which saw Julianne front of shot as she stared into the device’s security camera.
She went make-up free, pulling her auburn hair into a low bun and wrapping up in a green puffer coat.
The Silence of the Lambs frontwoman, famed for playing Clarice Starling, was wrapped up in a hug by her son’s partner – with Caleb taking the selfie standing behind.
Fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the screen star’s exciting shopping purchases may well be disappointed, as it appeared Julianne only popped in for a bottle of water.
Yet that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of some in the comments section, with one writing: ” NOT JULIANNE MOORE IN TESCO.”
A second put: “If I saw Julianne Moore in Tesco I’d freaking lose my s**t,” as a third posted: “Unexpected item in the bagging area at Tesco.”
One then mused: “Imagine bumping into JULIANNE MOORE in your local Tescos.”
Another then referred to the store’s loyalty card scheme as they quipped: “Julianne do you have a club card????”
It seems the Gloria Bell star has a penchant for funny antics in supermarkets, and previously admitted to enjoying embarrassing her two kids in-store.
In 2019, she confessed: “I’m not a dancer I just dance in front of my kids to embarrass them.
“I’m a Dancing in the grocery store dancer because that’s really embarrassing.
“They go ‘Mom, stop it. Mom.'”
It came after Willem Dafoe left Welsh residents stunned when he tucked into an Indian at a Cardiff eatery two days on the trot.
On Screen
Julianne’s next role will be in Sky Drama series Mary & George – with a sneak peek already revealed.
She stars alongside Nicholas Galitzine as the pair play mother and son Mary and George Villiers.
The duo infiltrated the 17th century English court to woo King James I, played in the series by Tony Curran.
Meanwhile, off-screen, she is married to Bart Freundlich, sharing Caleb and daughter Liv with the movie director.
