Tyler Cameron called out for posting awkward text fight with girlfriend Tate Madden: ‘So disrespectful’

Tyler Cameron faced backlash for posting a screenshot of an awkward text message argument with his girlfriend, Tate Madden.

The former “Bachelorette” star took to his Instagram Story on Wednesday to share a series of texts between the two of them arguing over him getting ice cream without Madden.

“Now you’re mad again?” he asked her.

Madden replied, “I just don’t understand why anything fun you do you don’t want to do with me. We’ll go to riverside. Have a fun night,” seemingly referencing her own plans with friends.

“We’re getting ice cream, are you kidding me?” Cameron responded. “This is a fun moment?”

The reality star, 31, seemed to find the situation funny since he captioned the post, “Don’t go on a sweet treat run without your girlfriend… lesson learned.”

But Madden clearly was not happy, as Cameron posted a selfie the next morning showing him sleeping on a couch with the caption, “Learned my lesson.”

Fans quickly took to social media to question why the model would share the tense exchange on Instagram, where he has more than 2 million followers.

“….why would you post something like this about your partner?” one person asked on Reddit. “I can’t imagine posting anything publicly about my husband that would put him or our relationship in a bad light. So weird and disrespectful.”

“there’s no way this is just about going for an ice cream,” someone else theorized.

“If my partner posted this…straight to jail,” another Redditor joked.

“I am actually SHOCKED that he posted this like a joke… she is upset and it’s very clearly deeper than just getting ice cream with the boys 🙃 yikes that’s so weird,” one person agreed.

“Does he think this is funny? His gf’s message leads me to believe something deeper is happening…He shouldn’t have posted it nor any of the follow up stories,” another argued.

“My relationship would be over so fast if they publicly posted a screencap of any of my private texts with them to social media,” someone else commented.

“I saw this and was so confused!! I thought he was doing some weird joke or something like surely he didn’t just post a fight on his stories??” another user wondered.

Reps for Cameron didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

The “Going Home with Tyler Cameron” star began dating Madden in late 2022, but he only confirmed their relationship online last month.
