Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current Monday Night Football analyst Troy Aikman has made headlines over the last few years for things that have nothing to do with sports. The NFL Hall of Famer’s name has also been in the news for his love life as he’s had relationships with a few high-profile women including actor Sandra Bullock and country singer Lorrie Morgan, before he married his first wife.
In 2023, fans were confused when pictures of Aikman were posted on social media with a much younger woman since most people thought he was still married. Now, he and the woman 22 years his junior have since split, and the former signal caller found love again. Here’s what we know about Aikman’s new girlfriend.
Aikman was married twice
Aikman was previously married to Rhonda Worthey, who worked as the Cowboys’ publicist when Aikman played for the team. They said “I do” in 2001 and have two daughters together. In 2011, it was announced that they decided to end their marriage.
“This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage, we have decided to separate,” Aikman said in a statement to People at the time. “We remain deeply committed to our children and respectfully ask that you honor our family s privacy during this period of adjustment.”
The former football player began dating Capa Mooty in 2016. On Sept. 2, 2017, they tied the knot during a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, which was followed by a reception at the Four Seasons.
But in July 2023, photos were posted of Aikman with a woman who was not Mooty, and that left many scratching their heads.
The former quarterback dated a woman 22 years his junior after his second divorce
Haley Clark and Aikman hard-launched their relationship and announced the ESPN broadcaster’s divorce from Mooty at the same time with snaps of them kissing on Instagram.
Clark is a Dallas-based sales director. According to her LinkedIn, she has worked for Q Clothier and Rye 51. She was previously employed by other companies such as Surf Air, Trunk Club, and Bella Luxx. Clark attended Southern Methodist University from 2007 to 2011, where she studied markets and culture, and sociology.
Their romance garnered attention because of their 22-year age difference. But they called it quits after several months together.
What we know about Aikman’s new girlfriend
D Magazine reported that Aikman’s new girlfriend is Marisa Howard. She’s a former model who also worked in marketing and communications and is the founder of the wellness website MARHOW.
Howard is a children’s book author as well. According to her writer bio, she “resides in Dallas with her husband and two daughters. With a penchant for poetry and years of experience with aesthetics, she seeks to create beautiful stories through the eyes of a child, based off of travel and adventure.”
And yes, you did read the word “husband.” However, public records show that she filed for divorce from Frank Howard Jr. in July 2024. Their divorce has not yet been finalized as of this writing, but she has moved on with Aikman.
