A TOP telly soap star has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The actor allegedly attacked a woman in her 20s after meeting her at a party.

Officers from the Met Police are understood to have quizzed the star — a familiar face to viewers — for several hours.
The man, in his 20s, has been bailed as officers continue to investigate the alleged incident — which is said to have happened in a residential property in South London late last year.
Police have interviewed the alleged victim and have been offering her specialist support.
The man’s arrest has stunned members of the cast and crew on the popular soap — which attracts millions of viewers.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the allegation and potentially build a case for the Crown Prosecution Service.
A TV source said: “This has sent shockwaves through the soap he works on. It has left people reeling. It’s a very serious allegation.”
The source said the star was taken in for questioning when the claim was made.
They added: “They apparently met earlier that night at a party.”
A Met spokesman confirmed: “Police are investigating after a woman reported she was raped while at a residential address in the Southwark area on December 30.
“Specially trained officers continue to offer support to the victim.
“A man was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been bailed until a date in April.”
