Tony Bennett grinned from ear to ear alongside his wife, Susan Benedetto, in one of the final photos he shared on social media.
In the photo, which was posted a month before he died, the musical icon smiled as he posed with Susan and held a sign that read “#ENDALZ,” referring to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease
“June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. #GoPurple with Susan and I, and @alzassociation in honor of the more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s. #ENDALZ,” Bennett — who was diagnosed with the progressive illness in 2016 — captioned the pic.
The “Rags to Riches” crooner and his longtime love both wore purple shirts for the snap – a nod the official color of the Alzheimer’s awareness movement.
It’s unclear whether the picture, which was posted to his feed on June 20, was a throwback or recently snapped.
