Jay and Pamela share their story of living with brittle bone disease in a new TLC series.
A new reality series is coming to TLC. Jay & Pamela follows a Georgia couple who both have Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3, a rare brittle bone disorder. The condition presents unique physical challenges – they’ve had a combined 400 fractures throughout their lives – but it doesn’t dampen their spirits.

In the trailer for the new series, which premieres March 4, Jay, 28, and Pamela, 30, open up about their love for each other and their plans to get married and move into a place of their own.
“We are in love with each other, and we cannot wait to get married,” Pamela says after brief scenes of her trying on a wedding dress and practicing her first dance with her fiancé .
“Living my best life is getting married to someone that I really enjoy being around,” Jay says.
But the couple faces hurdles on the way to the altar. They currently live in a basement apartment in the home of Jay’s parents. Raphael and Rene are involved with their lives and supportive of their goals. But Pamela is estranged from her family, who have not visited her in years. When Jay is hospitalized shortly before the wedding, she begins to feel the absence of those connections. Finding a home that can accommodate their needs also presents difficulties. (Both Pamela and Jay are motorized wheelchair users.) But they remain optimistic despite it all.
“I know we’re capable,” Jay says. “Even though most people count us out.”
Jay & Pamela premieres Tuesday, March 4 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
