While both stars kept things ultra low-key due to Jenner’s high-profile past and Timothée’s preference for privacy, their joint appearance at Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour and later at the Golden Globes all but confirmed the romance. Coming from two very different corners of the celebrity world, their pairing has intrigued fans and insiders alike.
Unfortunately, rumors are swirling that Timothée’s family doesn’t approve of Jenner. Timothée’s sister, Pauline, allegedly feels “something is broken” between her brother and Jenner. A source told The U.S. Sun that Pauline feels like Jenner “doesn’t share the same values and morals as he does” and will “leave him when she gets fed up.”
“Pauline thinks that Kylie is with her brother because it looks cool and it’s nice to be in a relationship with one of Hollywood’s most exciting young stars,” the source explained. “She thinks she’s with him to keep the spotlight on her.” They added that Pauline and Timothée don’t speak nearly as much as they once did “because this relationship is creating a massive gap between them.”

It’s unclear exactly where Timothée Chalamet’s sister stands with Kylie Jenner. Neither of the two women has spoken directly about each other, and fans don’t know if they’ve spent time together on family trips or vacations. In January 2025, Pauline posted on social media about how billionaires shouldn’t exist. While she didn’t name Jenner, it’s well-known that Jenner was once crowned “the world’s youngest self-made billionaire.”
“Our system is so flawed that it allows billionaires to exist and accrue so much money and BARELY pay (and sometimes NOT PAY) ANY ANY ANY TAXES,” Pauline posted. “This should not be possible. Billionaires do not need to exist.” She also referenced Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg in the post.
While it was later corrected that Jenner isn’t a billionaire, the stigma stuck. With this in mind, Pauline and Jenner likely don’t share the same values, leading to beef if Pauline feels protective of her younger brother.
An alleged family member said they ‘don’t understand’ the relationship
Timothée Chalamet’s sister might not be the only one who allegedly takes issue with Kylie Jenner. An alleged family member of the actor spoke to The U.S. Sun about the high-profile romance. They called the relationship a “mystery.”
“Many of us don’t understand how they connect and click,” they alleged. ” … I think she’s only with him so she can stay in the spotlight. She’s done this before in her previous relationships with other artists and rappers.”
A childhood friend of Timothée’s also questioned the relationship. “Timothée isn’t like her,” the friend said. “He’s a very simple person — he doesn’t need much to be happy.”
So, will the actor and reality star plan to tie the knot if one or both of their families don’t approve? We can’t say for sure — but Timothée’s friend alleged that the actor’s family wants him to move forward without Jenner.
