The last time Meghan Markle took to social media in a regular capacity was via a joint Instagram account with Prince Harry. Their Sussex Royal handle had 9M followers.
The last time the couple posted together on the site they were working royal family members. On Mar. 30, 2020, Meghan and Harry shared details of how they could best contribute at the start of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
Meghan’s new, surprise video clip appears to send a cryptic message to kick off the new year. She appears alone, running along the beach barefoot, dressed in white, on an overcast day. In the middle of her run, she stops, writes “2025” in the sand, and darts away.
After four years of trying to find her professional footing after leaving the royal family, Meghan is sending a message to her followers that 2025 is promising big things. However, as royal watchers don’t know the full details of the message behind her post, speculation abounds.
What could Meghan’s cryptic, hidden message be? Perhaps this initial video was to reintroduce herself in a new way to royal watchers that completely separates her from her royal connection.
Or, it could be sending a message that in 2025, Meghan will finally debut her lifestyle line, American Riviera Orchard, which stalled after an Instagram debut in March 2024. The company has an official Instagram page which directs users to a webpage that shares no further information about the line.
But Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard business has one major update
Before the start of 2025, Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard brand still had a pending patent with the United States Patent Office. Subsequently, a patent for American Riviera Orchard appears to have been accepted and the items Meghan plans to sell are currently active.
An application to trademark the brand and its goods was initially filed in February 2024. The patent was rejected in August. The patents are now in an active state for the household brand.
Meghan will sell items such as table cutlery, downloadable cookbooks, and recipe books. Also for sale are coffee and tea services, serving ware, decanters, dinnerware, chargers, and napkin rings. There are also, patents for card holders, beverageware, tablecloths, placemats, napkins, and fabric gift wraps.
Other items are food-related. These include jellies, jams, and marmalades; fruit preserves, edible oils and fats, and preserves; vegetable, nut, garlic, sesame, dairy, and legume-based spreads; and nut and fruit butter.
Further information regarding the owner is located at the bottom of the patent. It is registered to the owner name of Mama Knows Best LLC.
Her royal title is connected to her new Instagram account
Meghan Markle’s new Instagram account uses Meghan’s royal title, the Duchess of Sussex under her handle name. Despite quitting life as senior working royals in 2020, Meghan and Harry were allowed to keep their royal titles.
Comments have been turned off on the post. However, a host of celebrities including Serena Williams, Chrissy Teigen, Julia Fox, Omid Scobie, Missan Harriman, and the brand Highbrow Hippie followed the page.
Meghan is tied to most of the celebrities mentioned above. She uses colorist Kadi Lee and invested in her Highbrow Hippie brand.
