DUA LIPA

ANTICIPATION is reaching fever pitch for the third album by the disco-pop sensation.
In between stadium-sized shows, she has been working on the follow-up to 2020’s Future Nostalgia, which should be with us sometime during 2023.
Earlier this month, Dua revealed that the album “had taken a complete turn” – so expect a daring and dramatic progression.
CARDI B

HER debut, Invasion Of Privacy, came out in 2018 so a follow-up to the collection, which won Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammys, is long overdue.


Cardi B said: “I have, like, a couple of songs that are definites. I don’t know what’s going on with me. I need to just make up my mind and just put it out.”
We agree – just release it.
NOEL GALLAGHER

NOEL has teased that the next album by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be out in May, after releasing single Pretty Boy earlier this year.
He has some big shows and festivals booked, including headline slots at PennFest and South Facing Festival in July, before heading to Manchester and Saffron Walden in August (as part of the Heritage Live concert series).
Can he match brother Liam’s remarkable 2022, though?

GODFATHER of punk returns to his tooges roots with the loud and lairy Every Loser, including the typically hard-line single Frenzy.
Produced by Andrew Watt (Ozzy Osbourne, Miley Cyrus), the album employs Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

A BIG year is guaranteed for the singer born Alecia Hart. She releases ninth studio album Trustfall on February 17.
She said: “The best album I have ever made.” Lead single Never Gonna Not Dance Again has already been a radio hit and her Summer Carnival Tour arrives here in June with two headline dates at Hyde Park.
LEWIS CAPALDI

IT has been a long wait but, on May 19, Scots favourite Lewis finally releases album number two, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, which will include a love song with Ed Sheeran called Pointless plus comeback single Forget Me.

LURKING among the thank-yous in Bono’s autobiography is confirmation of the next U2 album.
He says: “During lockdown, we were able to reimagine 40 U2 tracks for the Songs Of Surrender collection, which gave me the chance to live inside those songs again.”
Expect acoustic settings and lyrical updates.

COULD 2023 see the much-heralded first album of original material since 2005’s A Bigger Bang?
Interrupted by the death of Charlie Watts and Covid, sessions are ongoing with drummer Steve Jordan.

ED revealed a fifth album was coming in 2023 when he made a video marking Shivers’ one billion streams.
He said: “I’m gonna celebrate by shooting a video for my new album, out next year.”
At a guess, it will be called – (Subtract), in keeping with the mathematical theme of all the others.

LANA’S new album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, has been announced for a March 10 release.
The gorgeous title track was put out earlier this month.
The album was produced by Jack Antonoff and there are collaborations with his band Bleachers, as well as Father John Misty, Grammy winner Jon Batiste, Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis and singer-songwriter SYML.
SHANIA TWAIN
AS the best-selling female artist in country music history, the pressure is on for the Canadian’s first album of new material since 2017’s Now.
Queen Of Me, arrives in February with singles Waking Up Dreaming and Last Day Of Summer suggesting Shania’s “still the one”.

WITH four UK and Ireland shows set for this summer and a headline appearance at Reading and Leeds, Brandon Flowers and Co intend to put out album number eight to tie in with these live appearances.
The song Boy was released last August with further new songs set to follow soon.

TOM’S third record What Ifs & Maybes will arrive in spring to accompany his March tour – his biggest yet.
He says: “I’ve called it What Ifs & Maybes because it’s about going with your gut, not your head and because you never know what’s going to happen.”

MEMENTO Mori is the 15th studio album from the Essex synth-pop heroes – and their first as a duo after the death of keyboard player Andy Fletcher.
It’s due out in spring 2023 to coincide with their world tour, which includes a date at London’s Twickenham Stadium on June 17.

OUT April, the metal kings’ 12th studio album 72 Seasons clocks in at 77 minutes.
The title refers to the first 18 years of our lives when, according to singer/ guitarist James Hetfield, our parents tell us who we are.

THE Irish band’s last album, 2018’s Wildness, arrived after a seven-year wait.
But frontman Gary Lightbody said: “There will be an official Snow Patrol album coming. I’ve been writing a lot – we have all been writing a lot.”
Lightbody, recently awarded an OBE for his charity work, has been focusing on writing film scores.
