IT must have been hard for Brit actor Joe Alwyn to see Taylor Swift, his ex-lover of six years, move on with new man Matty Healy.
But Joe will have the last laugh, as he is set to continue profiting from the songs he co-wrote with her.

Under his pseudonym William Bowery, Joe helped to create the songs Betty and Exile on her 2020 album Folklore then contributed to Champagne Problems, Coney Island and the title track from Evermore, also out in 2020.
Then last year he co-wrote Sweet Nothing on her latest No1 album Midnights.
A music insider said: “Joe will be raking in a fortune from these songs for years.
“Taylor’s albums sold millions and continue to be huge on streaming services.

“He will easily be making a five-figure sum every year from his contributions.
“Writing six songs for albums as big as Taylor’s guarantees a healthy income stream for life.”
The three albums that Brit Joe contributed to have spent ten weeks at No1 between them.
Brutal honesty
Midnights, which came out in October, is still in the Top Ten, 28 weeks after it was released.
Taylor and Joe’s split was revealed at the beginning of April and then last week, The Sun revealed she was dating The 1975’s frontman Matty, another Brit.
On Friday during a gig in Nashville she revealed her third studio album, 2010’s Speak Now, will be the next to be re-recorded from her back catalogue, with six new tracks from her vault.
Tweeting about the album, out on July 7, she said: “I first made Speak Now, com-pletely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20.
“The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness.”
And she added: “With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now.”
ED SHEERAN looks set to score the highest new entry in this week’s singles chart following the release of album Subtract.
Curtains – the eighth track on the record – is at No10 in the midweek charts.
In more good news for him, Eyes Closed has rebounded up from No 6 to No 3.
RI-RI-ALLY GRUBBY
NO, Rihanna hadn’t just been sprayed by a car going through a puddle when she stepped out in this mud-stained outfit.
Apparently it’s fashionable and is meant to look like that.

She wore the grubby-looking jacket and miniskirt combo while out in New York at the weekend, where she has been treating the streets like a catwalk.

The Diamonds singer is well on her way through her second pregnancy, and her outfit is from a new collection by designer Mowalola.
It shouldn’t be too hard to make your own though.
Stick on some whites, get digging in the garden and you’ll have an outfit just like Ri-Ri in no time.
Aespa in the Mix
THERE haven’t been many girl groups to replace Little Mix since they went on hiatus a year ago, but Aespa could fill that gap.
The K-pop four-piece have dropped a new EP today called My World and it is packed with hits which any pop star would be jealous of.
The group, consisting of Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning, have come into their own recently and show their pop prowess on the EP’s belting, in-your-face single Spicy.
They are also on the soundtrack for the new Tetris film and have a series of festival shows across the US booked this year.
Fellow Korean girl group Blackpink have proved popular here and will headline BST Hyde Park in London in July.
With Aespa following their lead, K-pop is here to stay.
THEY have been busy reimagining their back catalogue for new album Songs Of Surrender but now U2 are ready to start work on new music.
Guitarist The Edge explained: “We have a lot of great material in the pipeline.

“I’ve been working a lot on new guitar music and I’m very excited about it. It’s at that prototype stage.”
Speaking to Guitar Player mag, he also revealed the idea to create Songs Of Surrender came during the lockdown.
He added: “We were due for some time off. We finished our last show in India in December of 2019.
“We came home and almost immediately the world was turned upside down.
“That time would have been spent working on ideas and early-stage new songs.”
Lockett back in pocket
BILLY LOCKETT’s fortnight-long UK tour ended in Newcastle last night – and it has been such a success he feels like all his dreams have come true.
He said: “This tour feels like everything’s come together. It is everything I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid.

“I haven’t been able to stop crying because it’s been so hard. I’ve been signed and dropped twice. This is my third deal. And it’s my 30th tour, probably.”
The Northampton singer-songwriter has previously toured with Lana Del Rey and Lewis Capaldi and is now working on the follow-up to his February debut LP Abington Grove.

He added: “I’ve supported everyone under the sun and I’m 31 now.
“I started trying to properly do this when I was 18 and all the stress, worry, over-thinking and debt is totally worth it now.”
