Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit now involves Taylor Swift. Lively initially sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and enacting a smear campaign against her following her work on It Ends With Us. Baldoni says the allegations are false and accuses Lively and Ryan Reynolds of destroying his career. As for Swift, she’s now caught in the middle. Sources now say she will be subpoenaed and likely deposed in the case.

Taylor Swift’s friendship with Blake Lively could drag her into Lively’s court case against Justin Baldoni. Lively and Baldoni have been legally going at it for months following their work on It Ends With Us. Texts from Lively to Baldoni show her referring to Swift and Ryan Reynolds as her “dragons” who will protect her at all costs.
“If you ever get around to watching Game Of Thrones, you’ll appreciate I’m Khaleesi, and, like her, I happen to have a few dragons,” Lively’s texts read. “For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”
Additional reports suggest Swift and Baldoni crossed paths when Swift visited Lively at her home following Lively’s two-hour meeting with Baldoni. Swift allegedly didn’t know Baldoni was going to be there.
Baldoni discusses Swift in his legal filing. According to him, Lively brought Swift to a meeting about changes in the It Ends With Us script. Baldoni claimed Lively wanted to use Swift’s presence to “intimidate” him into compliance.
Fans following the case wondered if Swift would get subpoenaed and questioned after Lively and Baldoni’s references to her. An insider close to the legal battle told DailyMail.com that Swift received a subpoena from Baldoni’s team. Swift will allegedly be questioned under oath as part of the first group of potential witnesses.
Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer also allegedly made it on to the witness list, as did senior staff at the talent agency WME and Sony executives.
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer previously discussed potentially subpoenaing Taylor Swift
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s legal teams want the full story. Therefore, anyone with relevant knowledge or evidence will likely receive a subpoena. Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, previously spoke on TMZ’s Two Angry Men podcast about possibly subpoenaing Taylor Swift.
“I don’t know that we’re going to depose Taylor Swift or not,” Freedman said. “I think that that’s gonna be probably a game-time decision. … Anyone that reasonably has information that can provide evidence in this case is going to be deposed. I mean, for sure.”
However, another insider previously told Us Weekly that Swift doesn’t have any knowledge of the lawsuits. “Taylor has always been Blake’s friend, but Taylor doesn’t have any involvement in the case,” the source explained. “She wasn’t part of the movie. Taylor was not a producer on the film and had no creative involvement.”

Taylor Swift’s involvement in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s lawsuits may jeopardize her friendship with the actor. However, an insider told In Touch Weekly that the two stars won’t let the court case get in the way of their decade-long relationship.
“Taylor is close with Blake and her family and is even godmother to Blake’s kids,” the source noted. “Justin’s lawsuit may be a nightmare, but they would never let something like this destroy them.”
