Newly-single James was adamant that was way too often, and his reaction took Stacey by surprise.
But on yesterday’s Sort Your Life Out – Stacey’s home decluttering show on the BBC – she gave insight into why she’s so regular with the washing.
She said: “I love my animals, my dogs will sleep in the bed with us sometimes and I love them but I do feel like your bed is your sanctuary and maybe the cat could find a better place for its toilet.”
The heavily pregnant star has two pet pooches – a cocker spaniel called Teddy and a sausage dog called Peanut.

Stacey helped the Fall family, on a mission to get rid of four years worth of clutter including 2,137 toys, 452 books, 13 guitars, 61 mugs and 1,274 tools.
Dad Dan’s ADHD had left the house full of unfinished DIY projects leaving children Noah and Rachel feeling miserable.
Emotions ran high when Dilly presented the family with £2,000 in cash and cheques found hidden in the mess of their overflowing home.
With a life-changing declutter, Stacey and her team upcycled and recycled their way to a new home, sharing their useful tips and hacks along the way.
One hack, that Cleaner Iwan Carrington explained, focused on getting old knobs looking good as new, with barely any effort involved.
Iwan advised: “I’ve got these brass knobs that are looking a bit dull and could do with a shine up so I’m going to make up some salt and some white vinegar and add some bicarb.
“These have had about ten minutes of soaking and I’m just scrubbing them against the salt.“They’re starting to come up really nicely and they’re going to look really nice in here.”
