Mindy Kaling expertly channeled Elle Woods on Instagram Tuesday, floating across a pool on a raft while wearing a bright yellow bikini from her collaboration with Andie Swim.
The 44-year-old multi-hyphenate, who’s made headlines with her weight loss journey over the past couple of years, modeled the Bermuda Top ($62) and matching High Waisted Bottom ($52) in the “Legally Blonde”-inspired pic.
“Basically doing fanfic of @reesewitherspoon in her green Elle Woods bikini but in my Daffodil,” Kaling wrote in her caption, referencing the infamous lime sequined swimsuit Witherspoon wears in the romantic comedy.
“Of all the colors in my Andie swim collab, this color was my absolute favorite,” she continued.
“It feels like summer is here even when it’s gray in LA and I swear it looks so good on everyone!”

She convinced at least one fellow celeb to invest in the swimsuit; “Influenced- just ordered!!!” Mandy Moore commented on the post.
“Hey Mindy, do you know what happened on Days of Our Lives yesterday?” another fan wrote, quoting a memorable line from the film.
A third was less than impressed by Kaling’s foray into bikini design, commenting, “Mindi [sic] looses [sic] weight; starts selling bathing suits,” along with an eye-roll emoji.

The “Office” star has been open about how slimming down has boosted her self-esteem, telling People in May, “I’m feeling really confident in my body these days, which is not something that I’ve been able to say for my whole life, unfortunately.”
She’ll certainly be ready to bend and snap all summer long in this sunny suit.
