Earlier this year there were talks of a reunion, but Mick put those rumours to bed by explaining that brothers Ray and Dave had opposing opinions on it all.
However lead guitarist Dave has hinted that they’re getting back together in a recent interview with The New Cue.
When asked if looking over told songs wanted made him want to make music again, Dave said: “We spoke about it only last week.
“We’re going to meet up again this week and see where the journey might take us.
“We’ve had loads of stuff in the can for ages so who knows.
“Stuff we’ve had in demo form or things we didn’t use.

“There’s quite a few songs we’ve either revamped or done slightly differently so we’ll see.”
The Kinks have had 20 studio albums over the years, as well as five live albums.
They are best known for their 1964 tune You Really Got Me.
Back in July Dave revealed he was optimistic about a reunion to mark their 60th anniversary of the big hit.
Speaking to The Independent, he said: “I hope so! I do. Ray and I have spoken about it – it’s possible!”
Some of their other songs include Waterloo Sunset, Lola, Sunny Afternoon, and Days.
Over the years the band have sold a whopping 50 million records all over the world.
The band also received a four-year ban from touring the US because of their behaviour during their American tour in 1965.
