ELLEN Foley may not be a household name, but she’s had a career to rival even the biggest of showbiz stalwarts.
Best known for duet ting with the late rock singer Meatloaf on the 1977 Bat out of Hell album, almost fifty years on from the momentous occasion, Ellen has hardly aged a day.

Now aged 72, the US-born singer still has the blonde pixie-like looks of her heyday and has kept her slim and youthful physique.
The singer shared a photo of herself on social media and a slew of her followers rushed to comment on her appearance.
One said: “Beautiful photo, just like you Ellen.”
Meanwhile, another said: “Such a stunning photo.”
Born in St Louis Missouri, Ellen first came to public recognition by duetting with Meat Loaf on his Bat out of Hell album in the late seventies.
Her debut album Night out was released two years later in 1979 which reached number 7 in the Dutch charts and number 92 on the US charts. The single, We Belong to the Night, reached Number 1 in the Netherlands.
Foley also studied acting in New York and starred in a multiple Broadway musicals including Me and My Girl, as well as the revival of Hair and the off broadway musical- Beehive.
She had originated the role of The Witch in Stephen Sondheim’s hit musical Into the Woods, when it first opened in San Diego. But the coveted role was eventually handed to musical theatre star Bernadette Peters for the Broadway transfer.
On the small screen she was best known for starring as Billie Young on the 1980s TV series, Night Court.
She also enjoyed some small roles on the big screen, including opposite Michael Douglas and Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction, where she played one of the friends of Close’s character. She also had a part in the 1988 film, Married to the Mob and Cocktail, with Tom Cruise.
Foley continues to act and perform where she is based in New York City.
