The millionaire retired tech entrepreneur was led to a police car barefoot wearing just a bathrobe, with his hands cuffed behind his back
Police in LA allege Dumontet – who married Christine in 2019 – threw a bag containing a glass bottle “at the victim”.
But rather than hit its intended target, the bag struck the victim’s child.
A source confirmed to Page Six that the youngster involved was their son.
Police say the toddler was seen by paramedics after the incident at around 2pm in the Hollywood Hills area of LA.
Dumontet, who goes by the name Christian Richard, was booked for an assault with a deadly weapon.
Bail was set at $30,000, but it is understood he is still being held.
Christine, who left the hit Netflix series Selling Sunset after the fifth season, shares a son with Dumontet, born in May 2021.
The mum, 35, met Dumontet through a mutual friend and the pair got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019.
They wed that December at a downtown LA cathedral, with the theme of an unconventional gothic winter wonderland.
Christine previously told People: “I never conformed to the status quo or societal expectations.
“I’ve always enjoyed being bold, different, and trendsetting.
“I’ve always wanted to get married in a black wedding dress, and I’m so happy that my dream came true.”
The Texan, who previously modelled for fashion house Balenciaga, quit Selling Sunset the posh show following the birth of her son Christian.
She declared: “I feel like I’m entering a new chapter of another era of fashion and killed off my character from Selling Sunset.
“RIP. She was fierce, she was a boss bitch.”
Former model and actress Christine was at the centre of a string of screaming matches on the show, which saw her fall out with several co-stars in season four.
During the first season of the show, Christine had a very public fall-out with her former roommate and best friend, Mary and the pair have had an on/off friendship ever since.
The two went from living and having brunch together to avoiding each other at parties and fighting in front of everyone else.
Meanwhile Dumontet became a successful software engineer after attending the prestigious MIT university,
He later created Foodler, an American online food ordering service.
In 2017, he sold it for a whopping $51million to competitor GrubHub, and he then retired aged 38.
