‘“I would be the youngest senator. Youngest female senator,’ Savannah said in August 5 episode of her ‘Unlocked’ podcast.

Reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley is still considering her possible future in politics.

A little over a month after teasing a potential run for Congress, the Chrisley Knows Best star says she has decided not to seek office in Tennessee right now. But she still has her eye on a political career.  In the August 5 episode of her Unlocked podcast, she revealed she’s seriously considering running for U.S. Senate in the next few years.

“I would be the youngest senator. Youngest female senator,” Savannah said. “I think that’s powerful. I think that’s powerful for not only the younger generations, but also women.”

‘Growing Up Chrisley’ star has to ‘put myself first’ as she weighs career in politics

Savannah first teased the prospect of running for office in the June 2025 ABC News special Impact x Nightlight: The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup. She got involved in politics while lobbying for her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, to be released from federal prison. Donald Trump pardoned the pair in late May.

“There’s been some talk of a congressional run,” Savannah told Juju Chang. “I don’t know if that will or will not be the thing that I do or if it’s what I’m called to do, but also I believe right now my goal is to speak to younger voters.”

While Savannah – an ardent Republican and Trump supporter – remains interested in politics, she says she first needs to focus on herself and her businesses, including her real estate ventures and her “direct-to-consumer” pharmacy, Good Girl Rx.

“I’m really focused on building my business,” she explained. “This is why I declined to run for the congressional seat that was opening here in Tennessee in a special election. I felt like right now is just not the time for me personally as I’m building my businesses. And I don’t want to have to divest from these things right now … it’s just not worth it for me personally. And after the past few years, I have to put myself first.”

Savannah also said that she believed she could have a “bigger impact on the outside using my voice than I would on the inside.”

But politics is still very much on her mind.

“I’m going to continue building my political profile and then in 2027 when Marsha Blackburn runs for governor – and will probably win – I could potentially take that Senate seat,” she said. “Who knows?”

Blackburn won the 2024 Senate election in Tennessee and is currently serving her six-year term. But she has hinted that she might run for Tennessee governor in 2026. If her senate seat opens up, Savannah could take a shot at at it.

“That is something that I’m toying around with, playing with the idea,” she said. “Seeing where that may lead. But I’ve got some time for that.”
