The group, who met on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 reunited on stage in honour of their bandmate who tragically died from breast cancer in 2021.
They had split in 2013, but in her final months, Sarah reconnected with Girls Aloud and urged them to perform together again.
Following Sarah’s death, the girls wanted to include Marie in planning the tour.
She gave permission so they could use Sarah’s vocals and helped curate a stunning backdrop of footage and photos of Sarah.
Tonight, fans spotted Marie in the crowds as she attended the first night of the Manchester run of gigs.
Marie was accompanied by radio DJ and Sarah’s best friend Greg Burns to Manchester’s AO Arena.
A concert goer said: “It was really special seeing Marie in the crowd. It will mean so much to the girls.”
The iconic girl group kicked off their tour in Dublin last week and fans have been left in tears during a special tribute section where Sarah’s vocals were used.
During the concert, the foursome performed a duet with Sarah, whose vocals to the song I’ll Stand By You played as the group sang along live on-stage, in videos circulating on social media.
It was previously revealed that Girls Aloud will split profits from the tour five ways.
Sarah’s estate will benefit from the profits as an insider said: “That’s the right thing to do. There were five girls in the band.”
