Lauren Sorrentino will be on TV again soon, but she won’t be a part of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ it seems

Lauren Sorrentino and Jersey Shore Star Mike Sorrentino popped up in a photo with cast members from The Real Housewives of New Jersey earlier this month. The photo and Bravo’s lack of transparency about the series’ future have given rise to rumors. Rumors quickly began swirling that the Sorrentinos, who reside in Holmdel, New Jersey, would be signing up for the next season of the show. That doesn’t appear to be in the cards after the pair announced their next TV project.

Rumors swirled that Lauren Sorrentino might be a ‘housewives’ fit

Last week, Lauren Sorrentino shared a photo of herself and Mike Sorrentino out with several other people. Fans were quick to note that Melissa and Joe Gorga, famous for their time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, were in the photo, along with several talent and PR managers. Sorrentino didn’t offer any context to the photo.

The lack of information led followers to draw their own conclusions, with several wondering if the New Jersey resident would be a good fit for the next iteration of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. While Sorrentino might be an interesting personality to throw into the mix, it doesn’t look like a career as a Bravo housewife is in the making.

Lauren and Mike announce an entirely different project

Lauren Sorrentino will be on TV soon, but it won’t be on RHONJ, at least not now. Earlier this month, Mike and Lauren announced that they are launching a new reality TV series centered on their shared mission to help families navigate addiction and mental health struggles. The couple made the reveal during an exclusive interview with TMZ.

According to the duo, cameras will follow them as they conduct “door-to-door” visits, offering interventions and support. The series, which is still in development and not publicly tied to a network, will tie into the grand opening of the first Archangel Center, a treatment facility in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. The center, the first of several, has a late summer opening planned. It is unclear when the show might premiere.

What is happening with ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’

Last year, Bravo decided to pause The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The decision came after a disastrous and tense season 14 made it impossible for the cast to meet for a reunion special. Instead, they capped the season with a viewing party. The viewing led many fans to believe a cancellation was imminent.

Andy Cohen has been pretty cagey when discussing the series for several months, but he’s finally offering up some solid information. The Bravo executive appeared on The View on June 3 to discuss the future of the franchise. Hen revealed that the network is actively casting for the series and still sees it as a valuable asset. Cohen did not share if fans can expect to see all new faces or if key players will return for another season.
