However it now seems he could be joined by music legends on the stage, as his daughter Ruby has teased that a ‘Glasto reunion’ could be in store.

In a recent picture shared to Rod’s Instagram, he smiled alongside Rolling Stones musician Ronnie Wood and The Small Faces and The Who drummer Kenney Jones.

Commenting below, Ruby sparked the Glastonbury trio rumour as she wrote: “Glasto reunion?”

Fans immediately jumped on the comment as one begged her not to ‘tease’ them.

The snap comes as Rod is also putting together new music with the Faces, 52 years since their final record Ooh La La, and working on a new documentary about their history.

It follows a triumphant reunion at the Brit Awards in 2020 when the band performed a medley of hits to close out the show.

Last month Rod confirmed he would take the Legends slot at Glastonbury 2025.

Sharing the news with fans on social media, he wrote: “I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing @glastofest 2025!

“After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!”

He follows such greats as Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Cat Stevens, Shania Twain and Diana Ross in the coveted afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage.”After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!”

Rod’s biggest hits include Maggie May, You Wear It Well and Sailing, accumulating 25 UK top 10 singles and 38 UK top 10 albums as a solo artist.

The singer first rose to fame as frontman of 1970s rockers the Faces, who formed after the break-up of the Small Faces, with Sir Rod and now-Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood joining up with the band’s Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane, and Kenney Jones.

Sir Rod has also performed and recorded with the Jeff Beck Group appearing on the albums Truth and Beck-Ola.
