RICKY Martin and Jwan Yosef have announced their divorce after about six years of marriage.
The exes released a statement to People about their split.

The former couple vowed to create a healthy family dynamic for their four children.
They stated: “We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years.
“Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other.”
THEIR BROOD
In August 2008, Ricky, 52, became the single father to twin boys Matteo and Valentino Marin through a gestational surrogate.
On Christmas Eve in 2018, Ricky and Jwan welcomed a baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef, who shares the same birthday as Martin.
In October 2019, they welcomed their fourth child, Renn Martin-Yosef.
THE RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE
The Assassination of Gianni Versace actor publicly came out as gay in a tell-all post on his website in March 2010.
The La Copa De La Vida hitmaker married Jwan, a Swedish-Syrian conceptual artist, in a 2017 private ceremony.

The pair first connected on Instagram in 2015 and started dating six months after meeting in person for the first time in London.
They made their romance official during the red-carpet event at the 2016 amFAR Inspiration Gala and announced their engagement that same year.
‘DREAMT OF BEING A FATHER’
In an August 2020 interview with Out, Martin expressed his love for kids and desire to grow his family due to his grandmother having 14 children.
The Latin artist said: “I would love to have many grandkids in the future and have every Sunday filled with family but, you know, we have to see what happens.”
He continued: “There’s moments where I want 10 more, and then there are those mornings where everybody’s crying, and I’m like, ‘OK, maybe we’re fine at six.’
“Many years, I dreamt of being a father, and many, many, many times I went through this grieving process of I am gay, I am a closeted gay man, and I’m not going to be able to be a daddy.”
Ricky explained why he turned to surrogacy: “Obviously adoption is an option and it’s very beautiful, but unfortunately for gay men, it’s very difficult to adopt in some countries.”
The Latin superstar has two Grammys and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his acting in soap operas.
