A REAL Housewives star is facing heartbreak after her brother was shot dead by police.
Lydia McLaughlin’s brother Geoffrey Shyam Stirling, 45, was shot dead in California during a traffic stop.

The former Real Housewives Of Orange County star, 44, is said to be “devastated” in the wake of her brother’s passing.
TMZ reports that Geoffrey “was riding a motorcycle” along the Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach when cops “pulled over his vehicle” on Thursday night.
Geoffrey became “uncooperative” with police, “and at least one officer shot him”, the outlet claims.
TMZ added how Geoffrey “died later at a hospital” with police saying that no officers were injured.
Lydia, who is famed for starring on Real Housewives, broke her silence on her brother’s death on Friday.
She issued a statement to TMZ and said: “My family and I are devastated by the loss of my brother.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and the community.
“We kindly ask for privacy as we mourn.”
Then, sharing a quote on Instagram in the early hours of Saturday morning, Lydia penned: “Because of the pain of Good Friday, we have the JOY of Easter Sunday.”
The quote she shared read: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Fans, RHOC and pals flocked to the comments section, with one person writing: “Lydia – I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother! My heart hurts for you and your family. Peace be with you.”
Another added: “Oh Lydia, I love you so much. Sending prayers.”
“The example youre setting during all of this is Jesus level. God bless you,” penned a third.
A fourth then said: “Lydia, I am so incredibly heartbroken to hear about your brother. Lifting you and your family up in prayer.”

She only starred for that one season before deciding to not return.
The mom of three wanted to focus on “building her brand away from ‘the Housewives’ name”.
Since her show departure, Lydia has published a book inspired by scripture and faith in Jesus Christ.
The title of Lydia’s book is Beyond Orange County.
