He was booked by cops on Wednesday in his latest brush with the law and is currently behind bars in a Santa Domingo jail.
No further details about his arrest were reported.
A judge on Thursday will decide whether the musician, 27, can be released – or if he will remain in jail as the domestic violence investigation continues.
The New York-born rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in October last year after he allegedly assaulted two music producers.
Hernandez was seized at a hotel also in the Dominican Republic after recording at the producers studio with his girlfriend, Dominican rapper Yailn la Ms Viral.
Hernandez and his team allegedly severely assaulted the two producers after they got into it with his girlfriend, Yailin.
Producer Diamond La Mafia told outlet Diario Libre that Hernandez threatened him over video chat after beating up the producers.
“He grabbed both of my producers, they destroyed my studio, through no fault of their own, without knowing him”, he said.
“Also threatening me by video call to fight, saying he is armed.”
One of the producers suffered blunt force trauma to the face and head, according to reports at the time from the Public Ministry.
La Mafia claimed that the rapper was jealous over his relationship with Yailin.
And in August 2023 he was booked into a Palm Beach County jail in Florida on charges of failure to appear, per a Sheriff’s Office report that was seen by The US Sun.
The rapper had been driving with a suspended license but was released from custody after a few hours.
He was also previously accused in the US of using a violent gang as a personal hit squad, but dodged prison time.
The rapper chose to give testimony against street gang the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods – who operate on the US East Coast.
In March last year he was assaulted by several people at a gym in Florida.
Hernandez was also arrested in 2018 on racketeering charges and received a 24-month sentence in 2019 after pleading guilty.
The rap star first found viral fame by uploading tracks to Soundcloud.
His 2017 debut commercial single Gummo then went platinum.
And his songs Kooda and Keke also made the Billboard Top 100 charts.
Hernandez also released the mixtape Day69, which featured artists including Tory Lanez, Young Thug, Offset, Fetty Wap, and other music stars.
But his career has been blighted by personal and repeated legal issues.
