NILZ PRONK, known as Prunk, founded Amsterdam based label PIV Records in 2015.
Since then, PIV has developed its house sound inspired by New York and Chicago’s electronic music scene in the 80s and 90s.
Seven years later and PIV hosts club nights, events and festivals locally and abroad, with regular appearances in Berlin, Ibiza, London and New York.

They’ve performed on some of the world’s most sought-after stages including Tomorrowland, Defected Croatia and their very own annual PIV festival in their hometown Amsterdam.
Now with a recent new LP out “Le Funk” we asked Prunk to pick out his ten highlight tracks from the label over the last eight years.
Listen and read what he had to say about the music below.
S.A.M – Fury’s Laughter
This is the absolute number 1 for us that has changed our label. This track was number 1 on beatport for weeks and a game changer in every dj set. After this hit we started touring with the label and I got to perform a lot with S.A.M.
RUZE – Mindset
This track by RUZE has gone viral on Tiktok and we hear this song more and more often. This record also spent weeks at number 1 on beatport. Keep an eye on these homegrown talents because they are going to break through this year with their new album on our label.
Jaden Thompson – Thirsty Eyes
Jaden is a family friend and this was his first release on our label. We made a name for ourselves in the UK with this record.
M-High – Tomorrow Is Another Day
One of my favourite tracks from the label that is a ‘masterpiece’ because it was a whole new sound for me at the time. When we put this EP online, we got a lot of questions about who this producer was. M-High has been our A&R for 2 years and also our resident of PIV.

Dennis Quin – Chante
Just when covid broke out, this beautiful song was released. It was more of a soulful house track than the other releases but especially on Spotify this song did great. We sometimes call Dennis Quin the Dutch Kerri Chandler 😉
Roland Nights – Chicago Soul
Of course our first release ever should not be missing from this list. We are super grateful that Roland wanted to do our first ever release because this EP is still music that we like to link with our label.
Robbie Doherty – It’s My Beat
We had to wait almost 2 years for this record to be released. There was a lot of demand for this record and we are also proud to say that it is currently at the top of the charts again.
Chris Stussy – See & Believing (Kolter Remix)
My favourite remix on the label by one of the best house producers of the moment ‘Kolter’. This record has been in the top 100 of beatport for 2 years and I think it will stay there for a while, really timeless.
Bas Roos – Brother Love
Our first number 1 that I remember well and that I was very happy with this because from that moment on I knew we were on the right track.
Prunk – Through The Walls
This song was personally a switch in my life. Came from a tough time and after releasing this EP my career has only gone up. I still get a lot of requests for this song when I go to perform somewhere.
