Prince William and Kate Middleton had a highly publicized royal wedding back in 2011, and the prince uttered three words to his bride when she got down the aisle.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have a love story for the ages. The two met when they were still teenagers, and they were close friends first before things started to turn romantic. Just young kids at university, William and Kate built a closeness on their silly humor and playful personalities.

Ultimately, though, that friendship led to love, and William and Kate tied the knot in front of millions of viewers in 2011. As Kate arrived down the aisle with her father, William had three sweet words for the woman he was about to marry.

A lip reader de-coded what Prince William said to Kate Middleton at their wedding

William and Kate’s wedding was filled with plenty of conversation, but most of it wasn’t for the public to hear. The ceremony was televised, and the two later took a carriage tour around town that ended with their iconic balcony kiss, but for the most part, everyone watching at home could only hear the reporters covering the story. However, lip reader Tina Lannin recently decoded some of the conversation during William and Kate’s wedding. According to Lannin and CBS, William had three words for Kate when she arrived in front of him at the church.

After Michael Middleton walked his daughter down the aisle, William looked at Kate and said, “You look lovely.” After a few more words that couldn’t be deciphered, Lannin revealed that William also said, “You look beautiful.”

After the wedding, William and Kate climbed aboard their carriage, and they proceeded to wave to a crowd of applauding fans. “Oh my goodness it … Really loudly here (unclear) these people are clapping,” William can be seen saying to Kate, according to the lip reader.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have built quite a life for themselves

The couple’s life began a new chapter when William saw Kate walk down the aisle. Ever since, the two have been working toward becoming the eventual king and queen. However, they have also taken time to focus on themselves and their family. The two welcomed three kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and the kids have been a major focus of theirs.

Kate did take some time away from the spotlight in 2024 to focus on her health, but she and William are back to full-time royal duties. The Prince and Princess of Wales are in no rush to become king and queen, though, as they are still focusing on being parents. So many years later, the public still loves to watch William and Kate’s love.
