Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have some pretty famous neighbors, and it turns out they try their best to protect one another from the paparazzi.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a number of famous friends since they moved to the United States back in 2020. Meghan, who is originally from California, was an actor before meeting Harry, so she already had some celebrity status. And they met even more people when they settled down in their exclusive Montecito, California neighborhood.
Now, Harry and Meghan have some celebrity friends who are watching their backs, including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.

Harry and Meghan are surrounded by famous people in Montecito, and they are all searching for one thing: privacy. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are certainly able to live a much more private life than they could in the UK, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t paparazzi trying to capture images of the couple every chance they can. Thankfully, Orlando Bloom is on the lookout.
“Orlando Bloom sent me a message because he’s down the road, and we sort of keep in contact because of the paparazzi,” Harry once revealed of his famous neighbors, according to Mirror. “He sent me a photograph, which his security got, of this long-haired guy with a beanie on, with his AirPods in, with his massive camera, lying in the back of his 4×4 truck, blacked-out windows.”
Harry and Meghan have been able to live a much more private life since relocating to the UK, possibly also because they are surrounded by people of similar fame. It seems that everyone looks out for each other in the neighborhood.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle refuse to return to the UK as a family
Harry has been to the UK plenty of times since he and Meghan moved away, but Meghan, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet have not returned since 2022. Harry has spoken out on this on a number of occasions, saying that he doesn’t feel like things are safe for his wife and kids ever since Britain’s Home Office removed the Sussexes security when they stepped down from their senior royal roles.
Harry has made clear that he will only bring his wife and kids back to the UK if their security is reinstated, and he has been in a legal battle with the British government for several years at this point. For now, though, the Sussexes seem to be very much enjoying life in California.
