Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton has been nothing short of nonexistent. There was a time when the William and Harry weren’t seeing eye to eye but still spoke, but those days are gone. Rumor has it Harry and William haven’t exchanged a word since their public walkabout after Queen Elizabeth II’s death. And while many thought the moment was a turning point for the brothers, that has not proven to be the case.
Now, though, there are continued rumors that Harry and Meghan are “desperate” to heal the royal feud, likely due to the damage it has caused their reputations.

The feud began years ago, shortly after Harry and Meghan started dating. The Sussexes weren’t happy with the way they were treated within the family, and Harry and William stopped seeing eye to eye. Since then, things have only become worse due to Harry and Meghan’s various interviews and tell-alls regarding their time in the royal family.
But there are now rumors that the couple want to heal things with William and Kate, though it might not be because they miss them — it could be because it’s heavily impacted Harry and Meghan’s reputations.
“It seems quite clear that they are desperate to start healing the rift,” an inside source told Daily Mail.
Harry and Meghan no longer speak about their royal experience in interviews, which could signal that they’re done telling their story. But the idea that they’re “desperate” to heal things seems odd given Meghan Markle’s recent subtle words about her time in the family.
Meghan Markle might not be ready to heal things just yet
Although it makes sense that Harry and Meghan would want to build their reputations back to a good place, Meghan didn’t shy away from taking a subtle dig at the family during an August 2024 interview with CBS Sunday Morning. When interviewer Jane Pauley mentioned Meghan’s time in the royal family, Meghan only said that she had hardly “scraped the surface” of detailing everything she went through as a royal.
Meghan’s words might have subtly reignited a feud that hadn’t been talked about by either party publicly in quite some time. It seems she never misses an opportunity to take a dig at her in-laws, so it’s hard to imagine she’s “desperate” to fix things with them. But still, time will tell.
