Pregnant Ireland Baldwin reveals her baby girl’s ‘classy’ name

Ireland Baldwin, who is pregnant with her first child, revealed that her baby girl’s “classy” name is inspired by her own.

“We’re naming her Holland. I’m Ireland, so another country name because we wanted to keep that consistent,” Baldwin, 27,  said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Girlboss Radio” podcast.

She added that she also drew inspiration from an actress that she has “always loved,” Holland Taylor.

“I’ve always loved that name since I was young, I just thought that was such a classy, beautiful name, so we’re going with Holland,” she added.

The daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger shared that she is most looking forward to giving her child stability, something she said she didn’t have growing up.

“What I’m most excited about is really more centered around a lot of things I really wanted in terms of stability as a child myself that I didn’t have,” she said. “What’s kind of exciting is I get to raise this little human and do things completely differently than what I was taught was the norm.”

But really she’s just looking forward to showering her little bundle of joy with love.

“It’s cool that I get to unconditionally love this person and do my best to make her as equipped for this world and badass as possible,” she said.

Ireland announced in December that she is expecting a baby with her musician boyfriend RAC, also known as André Allen Anjos. Days later she shared that they are having a girl.

This will be the first child for the couple, who have been dating for at least a year.

Earlier this month, the model spoke candidly about her mental and physical health struggles amid her pregnancy and compared the experience to “warfare.”

“I underestimated just how hard pregnancy would be on my mind and my body,” she admitted in a post to her Instagram at the time.

She shared that it’s “unrealistic” to be “glowing and angelic and in a constant state of bliss,” and compared herself to a “goblin,” “bridge troll” and “curmudgeon” who is “vomiting 6x a day.”

Along with experiencing aches and pains, she has been dealing with anxiety.

“I’m exhausted. I’m unmotivated. I feel like life is passing by and my career hasn’t even begun,” she said.

Fortunately, Ireland said her boyfriend has been a huge help amid her challenges and “would have lost [her] mind” without him.

“He’s everything and more to me,” she gushed.

She also said she feels “alone” and has been having trouble connecting with her friends.

“This shit is HARD. And you’re not alone if you feel the same. And it’s ok to be REAL and post highlight reels. It’s ok to be happy and sad at the same time. I am grateful but I am struggling and that’s perfectly ok. 💕,” she captioned the candid post.

Ireland has been documenting her pregnancy on social media and shared updates on her growing baby bump.

Just last week the mom-to-be proudly displayed her body while posing topless in a mirror selfie.
