Post Malone has already scored a major win in his fight for custody of his two-year-old daughter.
New court documents obtained by Page Six show the “Sunflower” singer (born Austin Richard Post) filed his own custody documents in Utah Monday — two days before his ex-fiancée Hee Sung “Jamie” Park filed her petition in Los Angeles Wednesday.
Since he filed first, that’s where the case will be handled, according to TMZ — and it’s going to save the singer a lot of money, as California allows for higher payments when it comes to child support.
The 29-year-old singer also chose to file in Utah because it’s where he and Park were originally splitting 50/50 custody of their daughter, sources told TMZ.
Park is also said to have moved to California at the start of 2025 after she and Post officially called it quits at the end of 2024.
The insiders also alleged that her move was in an effort to establish residency in California, setting the ground for her to file for custody in Los Angeles for financial reasons.
Reps for Post Malone did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The identity of Malone’s ex was revealed on Friday after reports surfaced that she petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court this week for full custody of their daughter.
Their daughter’s name has yet to be revealed as she was only noted in Park’s court docs as “DDP.” Her birthdate is listed as May 26, 2022.

Malone announced he had welcomed a baby girl and gotten engaged in June 2022.
The “Rockstar” singer has since moved on with Parsons School of Design student Christy Lee. The pair have been seen going out on public dates since March.
The new couple was most recently spotted on a shopping trip in Paris earlier this month.
