PHILLIP Schofield has revealed what happened when he last saw Dr Ranj before the ex-colleague “stabbed” him in a brutal outburst.
The former TV star, 61, left This Morning before being forced out of ITV altogether after admitting he had an affair with a much younger runner on the show.

The departure of the once-loved presenter saw numerous ex-colleagues of his slam the show as “toxic”.
Dr Ranj, who appeared on This Morning in a regular medical segment, was just one star who publicly blasted the culture on set.
He claims he “raised concerns” about Schofield and show producer Martin Frizell before being used “less and less” as a guest.
And in an interview with The Sun, Schofield has now accused Dr Ranj of “stabbing him” in the back after a “lovely” final meeting between the pair.

Schofield said: “There is categorically no toxicity [at This Morning] and the only people who create that are the people who have their own toxicity.
“And I’m assuming if you are that sort pf a person then it follows you around perhaps.

“But Ranj, I saw him a few months ago and he was lovely, really lovely.
“I don’t know why he would do that.
“I don’t know what is the reason to stab something that’s been really good to you.
“And maybe he wasn’t asked back on again I don’t know, I don’t book the guests.
“Neither of us have any say in who comes on or what, you can go in with a good idea [but that’s it].”
Taking to social media, Dr Ranj said last week: “I was on the show for ten years and I genuinely loved and valued working there.
“However, over time I grew increasingly worried about how things were behind-the-scenes and how people, including myself, were being treated.
“I didn’t know the truth about what was going on with Phillip, but I do know the issues with This Morning go far beyond him. It takes more than one person to create a culture.
“So I did what I thought was right and, as ITV confirmed last night, I raised my concerns about Martin’s behaviour (and the environment at TM) with [managing director] Emma Gormley – especially given that my job is to look after people’s well being and I had been heavily involved in diversity, anti-bullying and mental health projects across the channel.
“I then found myself being used less and less.”
