“It’s official! We’re coming back for a second season,” the streamer announced in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “See ya in the patch!”

Landman star Thornton as Tommy Norris, an oil company exec navigating the cutthroat world of Texas oilfield politics. The Taylor Sheridan-produced series premiered in November 2024 and quickly became one of the most-watched shows on Paramount+. The series finale dropped in January 2025, and since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for news about the show’s fate.

In addition to Thornton, the Landman cast includes Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, and Jacob Lofland. Wallace – who plays lawyer Rebecca Falcone – celebrated the renewal news on Instagram.

“SEASON 2 BABY!” she wrote.

A season 2 premiere date has not been announced.

‘Landman’ co-creator wants Andy Garcia and Demi Moore back for ‘Landman’ Season 2

Landman Season 1 ended with Tommy preparing to assume the top leadership position at M-Tex Oil following the death of head honcho Monty Miller (Jon Hamm). But Monty’s widow Cami Miller (Demi Moore) is still in the picture, and she could take on a much more active role in running M-Tex going forward, assuming Moore returns for season 2.

Another face we’re likely to see more of in Landman’s second season is Andy Garcia’s Gallino. The cartel boss is looking to diversify into more legitimate business endeavours, and he and Tommy forged an unlikely partnership in the season 1 finale.

Landman co-creator Chris Wallace has said he hopes season 2 would involve both Moore and Garcia in more substantial roles.

“If the show were to go forward, I think everyone involved would love to see more of Cami and more of Demi,” he told TV Insider. He added that he was “excited to see Andy and Billy continue acting together because they’re just such an incredible duo — both obviously just great actors and so fun to watch.”

“As far as Andy’s storyline, what I would hope to see is just what it looks like to have in the cartel a very savvy, smart businessman who happens to be in an illegal business, working alongside Tommy in this legitimate business, and both the rewards and the complications that could bring to both men,” he said. “I think that would be a fascinating thing to watch play out.”

Landman Season 1 is streaming on Paramount+.
