Odell Beckham Jr. says he has never been to Orinda, California and has never met the woman who accused him of participating in a sexual assault with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial for sex trafficking and other charges is set to begin in May 2025, eight months after he was arrested and remanded to a federal lockup in New York City. Despite Diddy being off the street for months, the true scope of his crimes and who was involved in them continue to evolve. Odell Beckham Jr. was just linked to Diddy in a rape lawsuit filed in California earlier this month. He denies all involvement. How does Beckham know Diddy?
Odell Beckham Jr. named in a rape lawsuit
Odell Beckham Jr. is not having a relaxing NFL off-season. The famed wide receiver has been named in a lawsuit brought against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. In the amended lawsuit, filed this month, one of Diddy’s alleged victims claims Beckham Jr. participated in a retaliatory sexual assault in 2018 along with several other individuals.
The victim, who has been identified as Ashley Parham, filed her initial lawsuit in October 2024. At that time, she did not name additional assailants. The initial lawsuit did, however, claim other men participated in the attack. Parham’s lawsuit also eludes to a coverup by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
Odell Beckham Jr. responds to the allegations
Odell Beckham Jr. has wasted no time trying to get in front of the allegations, although his first attempt at a comment did not go well. According to Variety, the NFL star took to social media to offer an oddly worded post that stated he was “covered by god.” The wide receiver standout must have met with his own team who suggested a more focused statement was in order. Later the same afternoon, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the lawsuit. In a prepared statement, he claims that he was shocked to learn of the lawsuit and insists he has never met the person who has levied the claims against him. Beckham Jr. also insists that he has never visited Orinda, California, where the alleged assault took place.

An apartment in the town is where Ashley Parham claims she was raped by Diddy and his associates as “payback” for her insinuation that he was responsible for Tupac Shakur’s death. In her initial filing, Parham alleges she was lured to the home by a friend claiming to need medical assistance. The victim did connect with police in the weeks following the attack. At the time, she refused to name Diddy as her attacker. She also did not initially name Beckham Jr. or others who were allegedly involved in the attack.

Beckham Jr. has denied all rape allegations. Still, he has not made a move to distance himself from Diddy, which several other stars have done. Beckham Jr. and Diddy have appeared at the same events, but they have never been photographed together publicly. The nature of their friendship or connection remains unclear.
