Oasis set to bank more than £50million through endorsements, US tour and merchandise

WITH their music dominating the official charts this week, Oasis are all set to bank more than £50million through endorsements, a US tour and merchandise.

The Manc rockers were celebrating on Friday after 1994 breakthrough album Definitely Maybe hit the No1 spot.

It celebrates the 30th anniversary with a whopping 408 per cent week-on-week rise in sales.

The band also hold third and fourth places, while Live Forever and Don’t Look Back In Anger re- entered the Top Ten singles chart.

Fortunately, Noel and Liam Gallagher have a savvy business team behind them, ensuring this long-awaited Oasis reunion with 17 live gigs next summer is as lucrative as possible.

The pair could make up to £50million between them for the shows alone.

An insider tells me: “It’s taken 15 years to get the warring brothers back together.

“There is every chance this could be their last hurrah, so everything’s getting monetised and they want to strike while the iron is hot. Marketing and advertising teams aren’t missing a trick.

“They are capitalising their comeback and everything has pound signs attached.”

Some fans are crediting Noel’s ex-wife Sara McDonald for their reunion after the couple’s divorce. The pair split last year after 12 years of marriage. A source added: “It’s been a blessing in disguise.”

The band are ready to bank at least £10million from brand deals. Liam has a £2.5million collaboration with fashion label Stone Island, and trainers set to be released with Adidas, while Noel hopes to unveil a new Gibson guitar, having partnered with the firm previously.

I’m told US streetwear label Carharrt wants to join forces with the band for their US leg.

Oasis announce TWO new gigs after thousands of fans missed out on comeback tour tickets

A source tells me: “Oasis have always had their own distinctive style and now they are gold dust.

“Both Liam and Noel have plenty of brand relationships from years as effortless fashion gods, so expect to see plenty of collabs.”

POTENTIAL EARNINGS: £5million-plus

Merchandise

Whether it’s a £30 T-shirt or a £10 mug, fans will go mad for merch at the gigs. Tour organisers are expecting to make between £500,000 and £1million a night at Oasis Live ’25, so the potential to earn big bucks is huge.

The band have even seen existing clobber sell out on their official website since they announced their reunion.

An insider tells me: “Merchandise is cheap to make and revellers all want to get a hoodie or a tee so they can wear it like a badge of honour. It is hugely lucrative.”

“There will be pop up shops in some of the major cities and the band will ensure some sleek designs especially for the tour.”

POTENTIAL EARNINGS: £20million

The band are rumoured to be announcing a US leg to their live tour, focusing on several major cities including the coveted Madison Square Garden venue in New York.

The group previously performed across the pond in 2008 as part of their Dig Out Your Soul tour. A source said: “The band’s music is bigger Stateside now than it was when they were originally together.

“The market potential is enormous and the tickets will be snapped up.”

It comes after they hinted that they’re set to play US tour dates next year with a new cryptic Amazon Billboard message in Times Square New York.

An Oasis rep revealed last week: “Plans are under way for Oasis Live ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year. This will be announced in due course.”

POTENTIAL EARNINGS: £20million

The world has gone Oasis-crazy as fans celebrate the band’s reunion by listening to their greatest hits.

Noel is already heading back into the studio this autumn and Liam could well join him to make some fresh tracks.

A source said: “There has been a 700 per cent increase in Oasis music downloads, while vinyls of Definitely Maybe are flying off the shelves.

“Older fans, especially, want to get their mitts on vinyls, while youngsters are more into digital downloads.”

POTENTIAL EARNINGS: £5million

Rock ‘n’ roll nuggets

Alan McGee is Oasis’s former record label boss at Creation. He has let slip several rock ’n’ roll nuggets from his time with the group, in his new book How To Run An Indie Label…

Alan mistook Liam for a drug dealer when he first met him.

He said: “I remember this amazing-looking kid who had a blue tracksuit on.

“I thought he must be the drug dealer because bands at that time always had a cool-looking drug dealer with them. I didn’t know it then, but that was Liam.”

Early on, he feared the band were fascists. Alan said: “I sat in this rehearsal room.

I looked around and saw a f***ing Union Jack painted on the wall.” A singer from another band sharing the room said Oasis painted it. Alan added: “I asked, ‘Are they fascists because of the flag thing’, and she joked, ‘Yeah’, and laughed.”

The rivalry with Blur was fuelled after Alan invited them to the same party. He recalled: “Noel and Liam were p****d off when they heard Blur were coming.

I liked the idea it was causing friction.”
He revealed Liam taunted Blur’s Damon Albarn about Oasis being at No1, and said the brothers “decided to hate Blur”.

The label boss admitted that drug-taking got in the way of the music. He said: “The coke and the madness was an influence on how 1997’s Be Here Now album sounded

There was way too much coke in the studio and that made the album sonically different, because of the way coke affects your hearing.”

Liam’s ex-wife Patsy Kensit put a stop to a meeting Liam wanted with spiritual guru the Dalai Lama in Nepal. Alan said: “I’m just about to go and get my f****g malaria shot when Liam phones up. ‘I can’t go, Patsy won’t let me’.

There’s a lot of depth to him. One minute he’s brawling, the next he’s wanting to meet the Dalai Lama.”

Kendall Jenner stepped out for New York Fashion Week in a green leather mini skirt co-ord as she joined pals for dinner at Manhattan hotspot Cipriani.

The style icon, who is in an on-off relationship rapper Bad Bunny, then headed to nightclub Zero Bond.

She is fast becoming the most-fun member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan and is planning an epic fancy bash Halloween party.

“A source said: “She’s footloose and child-free so has embraced partying.”

Love waits for Sydnie

NAVIGATING a relationship when you are a rising pop star is tough – as this year’s Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas can testify.

She is preparing for a tour next February, and struggling to spend time with her fella, Italian singer Sam Rizzo.

Sydnie says: “I’ve probably seen him for four days in the last two months. Being busy and not seeing the people you love is the hardest thing, but I don’t want it to change.

“I think I find it harder than him. We FaceTime and I tell him I want to see him and cry, but he’s so supportive.

“The only time he’d get annoyed is if I was on my phone or social media when we were together. I feel like I have to keep on top of it but then I can’t switch off from it.

“We have come up with no-phone time and little rules to make sure that when we are together, we are present with each other. We have so little time, it’s precious.”

Sydnie hinted at a toxic previous relationship: “If it had been my ex, it would have been awful. The s**t would have hit the fan for sure.

“But Max is so understanding. We live together too.”

Sydnie, below, whose first album My Way is out next month, has hardly touched her £250,000 BGT prize money.

She said: “ I was so excited about winning I forgot about the money. They rang me and said I was the only winner they’ve had to beg for bank details so I could get paid.”
