The band previously included Ben Harper, one of the founders and the former lead guitarist and Peter Mosley, who was also a vocalist and pianist in the rock band.

The group first found fame in 1999 after moving from Florida to California, and were signed by Capitol Records three years later.

They have produced a number of tracks will bring back nostalia to 90s music fans – including hits Way Away, Only One, Lights and Sounds and many more.

Ocean Avenue was one of the last songs to come together during the recording process for the band.

Some fans interpret the track about relationships breakdowns, while others thought it had a deeper meaning.

Singer-songwriter Key penned the song with the opening lyrics as a nod to his childhood and leaving his hometown of Jacksonville.

Ocean Avenue was said to represent “saying goodbye to a specific moment in time,” while Harper said: “Instead of talking about a girl, it’s talking about a scene and a feeling that we want to get back to: hanging out and writing, before we moved back to California.”

The band enjoyed success over their 20 year career.

Ocean Avenue received praise from music critics and was the band’s biggest hit, peaking within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.

Its music video won the MTV2 Award at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

They then headed on their “final tour” in 2017 with the release of their 10th album Yellowcard.

They group released a statement which read: “We realised this was the right time to step away and preserve the legacy and integrity of the band.”

That reunion show celebrated Ocean Avenue‘s 20-year anniversary.

During the show, Key said the album had changed the lives of every member of the band.

“You’ve brought us back to life,” Key said to the crowd during the concert. “This is the biggest tour of our career, and we’re going to enjoy each and every moment of this for as long as we can.”

The band played several songs off of their most famous LP – including Empty Apartment, Life of a Salesman and Back Home, before ending the night in an encore of Only One” and Ocean Avenue.
