NOUGHTIES pop legend Lemar revealed his anxiety-filled health struggle.

The music star first rose to fame in 2002 when he competed in the first ever series of Fame Academy.

Back in February, Lemar, previously confirmed on Good Morning that he developed tinnitus.

The condition involves hearing either a ringing or buzzing sound in your ear that comes from inside the body.

But upon making an appearance at the Urban Music Awards, he opened up on his “challenging” condition.

He exclusively told The Sun: “For a while it was challenging.

“Because you have to get used to the fact that, you know, the sound will never go away.

“But luckily, my version of it, in a [busy] place like this I can’t hear it.

“If the rooms silent, then it becomes .. you can’t really see beyond.

He was then asked if the condition impacted his day to day life, to which Lemar candidly reflected that his condition gave him anxiety at first.

“It’s just the initial realisation takes some getting used too.

“You think, Oh, is this how it’s gonna be? So you got you know, you got a bit of anxiety around that.

“After a while you think Alright, cool, get on with it, you have to go with it.”

Lemar is gearing up for his seventh studio album, which he is set to release later in 2023.

He first found fame in 2002 when he came in third place on the first series of the reality TV competition Fame Academy.

His debut album Dedicated was released in 2003 and went onto achieve double platinum certification.

He’s since released an additional five studio albums, one compilation album and twenty-two singles. 

In 2018 he was a contestant on the rebooted series of ITV’s Dancing On Ice where he replaced Monty Panesar after he sustained an injury during training.
