HE prides himself on his working-class roots but Noel Gallagher’s recent boasts about his posh-boy lifestyle have hit a bum note.
The former Oasis frontman has admitted he spent four nights a week living in a £4,000-a-night suite in swish London hotel Claridge’s last year while promoting latest album Council Skies.

And while Noel said the collection is actually inspired by the colour of a paint used by artist Pete McKee, he is being mocked for forgetting his humble Manchester roots.
A source said: “Noel makes out he’s a man of the people but really he’s sitting on millions of pounds.
“People who knew him back in the day couldn’t believe it when he was boasting about being holed up in Claridge’s while he was busy promoting Council Skies with the High Flying Birds.
“They’ve even nicknamed him Council Pies, which is a bit of a jibe at his weight, but it’s given everyone a good laugh.
“Noel has a £10million house in Hampshire, plus an £8million new pad in London which he has just had totally done up.
“The man is absolutely loaded. He wouldn’t remember what being a council estate-raised lad is all about now.”
I’m sure Noel’s loudmouth brother Liam will have something to say about this too.
‘Proper good times’
But given Council Skies landed at No2 when he released it last summer, only just missing out on the top spot, I think Noel is going to have the last laugh.
Noel made the boasts about his fancy lifestyle on his Patreon podcast with his mate, comedian Matt Morgan, this week.
He said of his stay at the five-star gaff: “I had some proper f**king good times there. It was a proper good time. I lived there for most of last year, I was there three or four nights a week.
“We’re now at my new place in London. It’s a ten-minute f***ing walk from the West End.
“But I guess if you’re not well off, it’s a f***ing tough place to live.”
