NOEL Gallagher had to abandon a gig moments before hitting the stage after the venue was hit by a bomb threat.
The Oasis legend, 56, was waiting backstage in New York when the lights were suddenly turned on and fans ordered to evacuate.

Both the support acts, Metric and Garbage, had already performed.
Police arrived and swept the area but found no explosives on Saturday night at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

It is thought Noel, who is on tour with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, was unaware of the potential danger until he was away from the venue.
Garbage tweeted: “We have no idea what happened tonight. We were just all evacuated and we were concerned for everyone.”


NYPD said in a statement: “We responded to a bomb threat at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the concert was suspended at 9.40pm and concert attendees were evacuated without incident.
“K9s completed a sweep of the venue after the crowd exited, with negative results. This incident is under investigation.”
