Christina, who revealed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021, said the virus triggered sickness and diarrhoea and she was unable to control her bladder and bowel.
The Dead to Me star said: “Having MS at 3 o’clock in the morning and trying to change your sheets, it’s not fun.”
Speaking on her MeSsy podcast, she revealed she was “p*****g out of my a**” for days.
“I was so dizzy,” she revealed to her co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigle.
“I was so sick. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t anything.
“And finally I had to do one of those (stool test) samples which is fun.
“And it was so gross I started vomiting while doing this. Anywho, (test) came back (and) I had something called sapovirus.
“It is when you ingest the fecal matter of someone else from your food.
“Someone else’s poop went into my mouth and I ate it.”
Christina previously opened up about wearing adult diapers because MS has slowed her down, explaining: “You probably can’t get to the bathroom in time.”
Making light of the situation, added in the latest episode of her podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also has MS: “Wouldn’t it be great if they had velcro on the sides?
“You have to take all your clothing off! We need the velcro on the side.”
Christina was a stand-out star in the 2004 film Anchorman with Will Ferrell and recently shone in Netflix’s Dead to Me.
She had recently been diagnosed during filming, and has since admitted the show could be her last stint in front of the camera.
She told People: “I don’t know. On Dead to Me, I had the support I needed, and it took all of myself to do it.
“I don’t think I’m going to have a set that’s going to be that accommodating again.
“So I’m afraid. I don’t know if anyone’s going to accept me now, the way I am. But to not be able to do it again, honestly it hurts my heart. I miss it . . . of course I miss it.”
Christina admitted she isn’t comfortable being a poster girl for the disease, saying she turns down requests to speak about her illness at events.
The star confessed: “People say, ‘Can you talk at this thing?’ And I’ll be like, ‘No, because I’m not inspiring.’ I can’t do it.
“I’m not your girl yet. Give me a minute. This is new. Not even three years.”
The silver lining is getting priority seats and assistance at the airport.
Christina said about travelling: “Wheelchair seating— awesome.
“Pre-board— awesome. Wheelchair through the entire airport . .
“I wear a mask. I don’t let people see.
“There are some benefits to MS. First of all, parking is awesome.”
