NINETIES pop legend Dario G today gave fans a health update, after revealing his devastating cancer diagnosis.
The iconic star – who’s real name is Paul Spencer – shot to fame 26 years ago with his huge hit Sunchyme.

Back then, Paul was part of an electronic music trio – also called Dario G – when the floor-filler entered the UK charts at No.2.
Since then, he has continued to perform his DJ set all over the world.
But behind closed doors, Paul has been battling stage four rectal cancer.
The musician, now 52, announced the news of his devastating diagnosis on X, formerly known as Twitter, in June, and said at the time he was “trying to stay positive”

Addressing fans, Paul wrote: “Hard to write this. I’ve just found out that I’ve got stage 4 rectal cancer and a shadow on my liver. That’s damn hard to read too I’m sure.
“Gonna give it my best shot though. Stay positive, cos I am. Always. Seeing the doctors on Friday to discuss the next steps.”

Today Paul gave an update on his health, and said he’s been doing “really well” as he undergoes chemotherapy.
Speaking to Mirror Online he said: “I’m doing really, really well. The chemo and the medication arrested and stopped the pain and then I think the chemo starts to take an effect.
“I think in a month’s time I’ll be having another scan so that’ll be around Christmas time.
“So yeah, my Christmas present is a photoshoot of another CT scan or MRI scan. I had one done [recently] on my brain as well because little problems appeared because of the chemo.”
Paul then went on to to discuss his healthy mindset on not ‘wasting life”, telling the outlet: “Don’t complain about this or that. Our hearts are beating let’s do something with that time.”
Fans will remember Dario G’s iconic video for Sunchyme, which featured dancers in incredible safari costumes and makeup.
The group, also starring Scott Rosser and Stephen Spencer, later disbanded but Paul still uses the moniker as his stage name.
Released in 1997, the band’s hit song Sunchyme was composed around a sample of the 80s Dream Academy hit Life In A Northern Town.
The following year, Dario G peaked at No.5 with their follow up single Carnaval de Paris.
The banger was made the official song of the 1998 Fifa World Cup, which was held in France.
