Nineties music star looks like she’s barely aged a day quarter of a century on from huge hit that sold 25m records

SHE rose to fame as a quarter of the nineties band The Vengaboys, who sold more than 25 million records worldwide.

Now aged 48 and more than 20 years on from their chart topping glory days, lead singer Kim Sasabone has hardly aged a day.

The Dutch and Brazilian singer still has the flawless complexion and slim and youthful physique that made her one of the most distinctive stars of the 90s.

Not only does she still look fabulous, but Kim also enjoys one of the longest marriages in showbiz, as the star has been with her DJ partner, Nick Kazemian, for twenty-five years.

They share a 10 year old son, Joveyn.

The popular dance music band, consisting of Kim, Denise Post Van Rijswijk, Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa, were put together by DJS Danski and Delmundo in the early 90s.

Touring Ibiza between 1992 and 1997, the Vengaboys proved so popular that it was decided that they should start their own record label and produce music independently.

Their debut album- The Party Album- made it to number one in 20 countries around the globe and spent 30 consecutive weeks on the US billboard charts.

In 1998 they took a hiatus to enjoy the fruits of their success, but returned to performing in 2007.

Since then the famous group has continued to release music and tour the world – dubbing it their ‘non-stop world tour’.

They returned to the stage after the Covid lockdown in 2021 as part of the 90’s Nostalgia: Electric Circus in Canada and often headline 90s throwback festivals.

They joined British stars Peter Andre, Atomic Kitten and 5ive at the 90s Baby Pop festival in October 2021.

Donny has said of the bands enduring success: “For us, the 90’s never stopped anyway.

“But we do notice that a lot of people are weighed down by a heavy mood, and it is kind of striking that this has been the case since the new millennium. I’m just saying.”

Kim added: “We have been on a non-stop world tour since 1999. Covid brought a brutal halt to that. After more than a year of absence, we’ve been dying to re-unite with our friends and fans.”
