Now Gabrielle has revealed why now is the time to take her hits back on the road for a huge arena tour.
Gabrielle, 54, has a son, born in 1995, and a daughter who was born in 2003.
And it’s because her kids are all grown up now that she can focus on working again.
Speaking to the Mirror, Gabrielle said: “I no longer have to rush back for the school run or worry about embarrassing my kids at school.
“Do I feel more comfortable now than ever? 100%. I feel less afraid and more confident in my own skin. I am in my 50s now and I feel like if I don’t learn to love and accept myself now, I never will.”
Known for hits including Dreams, Rise and Out of Reach, Gabrielle confessed there was a time she thought she’d never return to the stage.
But now she’s back she’s got no plans to disappear again.
Gabrielle added: “Performing in arenas again is a professional dream coming true. I would love to have a career like Sir Elton John, who is still performing in his 70s.
“That’s how I see myself. While people still want to see me on stage, I still want to be on stage.”
Gabrielle took part in The Masked Singer UK in 2020, where she placed fourth after competing as Harlequin.
