Nicola Peltz revealed why she missed her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday party.
The wife of Brooklyn Beckham took to her Instagram Story Saturday to share that she skipped out on the bash to spend time with her grandmother.
Showing an adorable snap of herself hugging the elder — who was her maid of honor at her wedding to the former soccer player — she wrote, “My world in my arms.”
A follow-up picture showed the Beckham clan — Victoria and David Beckham, 48, alongside their sons, Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19, and 12-year-old daughter Harper — posing at the Spice Girl alum’s ritzy party hosted at Oswald’s in London.
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful MIL @victoriabeckham. I’m so sad I’m not there to celebrate you and hug you! Sending all my love from me and Naunni,” the “Lola” actress, 29, wrote.
While Peltz missed out on the festivities, other A-list celebrities, including Eva Longoria, Tom Cruise, Marc Anthony, Gordon Ramsay and Salma Hayek, had a night to remember.
Inside the bash, all five of the Spice Girls reunited for an impromptu performance of their 1997 single “Stop.”
A video captured by David showed Posh Spice alongside Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie “Mel B” Brown busting their iconic dance moves.
While Peltz was absent from the fun, she ensured to pin the fashion designer a special birthday tribute on her actual birthday last week via Instagram.
Alongside a throwback photo with the “Wannabe” songstress, the “Bates Motel” actress wrote on April 17, “happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham i love you so much and love being your dance partner forever 🩷🪩🎂.”
The two have reportedly not always been chummy, as they were rumored to be feuding ahead of Peltz’s marriage to Brooklyn in April 2022.
“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” an insider close to the family previously told Page Six. “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.”
The source added Peltz allegedly didn’t want the pop star “to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”
Rumors of their fallout heightened when the bride-to-be decided to wear a Valentino wedding dress instead of a special design from her mother-in-law.
However, Peltz shut down the rumblings in August 2022 during an interview with Variety, saying, “I was going to and I really wanted to [wear a design by Victoria], and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.”
“She didn’t say, ‘You can’t wear it;’ I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that,” she said referencing the headlines about their alleged rift.
At the time, Brooklyn also denied the rumors between his wife and mom.
“I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that,” he told the outlet. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
