Nev Schulman’s wife, Laura Perlongo, has suffered a miscarriage.
The writer subtly shared the news in an Instagram slideshow Thursday about her “new month [and] new nails,” which also featured a photo of a positive pregnancy test.
“Girl life is such a trip. Life n death, business as usual,” Perlongo, who shares three kids with Schulman, wrote. “It’s all so intense and real or maybe it’s delicate and fleeting.
“The gain. The loss. It’s all the things,” she continued.
Perlongo noted that she “wasn’t planning on posting until 14” weeks into her pregnancy.
The photographer then apologized in the comments section for any “confusion” she may have caused.
“i forgot to say i miscarried,” she clarified. “Anyway, no baby! But thank you for all the love and texts.”

Perlongo’s social media upload included sweet footage of daughter Cleo, 6, as well as sons Beau, 4, and Cy, 1, from crafting sessions to car rides.
She and the “Catfish” co-host, 38, started their family in 2016, going on to tie the knot the following year.
In 2020, Schulman told Us Weekly that he believed three kids was “the [ideal] number” for their family.
“I was one of two and [Laura] was one of three, and she loved having two siblings and still does,” he explained at the time.
While the MTV personality has yet to address Perlongo’s recent pregnancy loss, he did post an Instagram tribute to his partner for National Spouse Day on Thursday.
“Sorry guys, but I’ve got the best one,” he gushed.
