The movie, F**k That Guy, will be shown at PROOF Film Festival in Los Angeles next month.
Fans of her famous parents may recognise the stunning brunette given the strong family resemblance.
She has grown up around red carpets and premieres – having recently stepped out for the documentary America’s Burning with her megastar dad and brother.
And Carys already has four acting credits on her IMDb page.
Her work includes the short film Shell and working as a second assistant director on another short film, August.
Carys posted photos from the set of her latest movie to her 224,000 Instagram followers.
She raved about the film, writing: “Some moments from a project I am so proud to be a part of!! :))
“F*CK THAT GUY is heading to L.A for @prooffilmfestival by @am_cinematheque to screen Oct. 18-20 !!

Her parents are Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones, 55, and Michael Douglas, 80, who married in 2000, a year before they welcomed their son Dylan, 24, and three before Carys came along.
Michael also has son Cameron, 45, who he shares with his ex-wife, Diandra Luker.
He was released from prison in 2016 following drugs charges and has often praised step-mum Catherine for keeping their family together.
Opening up about her children’s acting dreams, Mask of Zorro star Catherine previously said: “The journey I’ve had as an actor has been extraordinary. So I can only encourage them to do what they love.
“They’re both extremely bright and they’re both studying history and politics. And they get all their brains from me.”
Superstars Catherine and Michael regularly post on social media and share snippets of family life.
PARENTS IN LOVE
In April, Michael was having a chat with Ross King while on ITV show Lorraine, and he revealed that golf brought the couple together.
“You know, Catherine loves golf,” he said.
“”That was actually kind of the closest we first got together.
“Things were looking good and I said, ‘What do you think of golf?’
“She said, ‘Oh, I love golf!’, and I said, ‘Oh, you do?’ That’s too good to be true.”
He also revealed that soon after they met, Michael knew Catherine was the one.
He remembered telling her, “I want to father your children,” soon after the pair first met in 1998.
Despite their many years of marriage, their love story hasn’t been smooth sailing.
In 2013, the pair separated for about a year.
At the time of their split, Michael opened up to Extra TV about the separation.
“Catherine and I are fine,” he said.
“The press tries to push it along a little faster. We’re taking a little break.
“We talk. I think everything will be great.”
After the pair reconciled, he told Ellen, “I’m crazy about her… I think every couple has their difficulties.
“The only problem is, as you well know, we’re all in the public eye, and it tends to get a little more exposed than most.”
Despite their brief split, Michael said, “We’re back stronger than ever.”
